Three things to do in Dallas-Fort Worth this weekend: Stay cool
From skate sessions with the Dolly Parton soundtrack to bar hopping in Uptown Dallas, here are the top events happening at DFW this weekend.
DALLAS — Temperatures may be starting to rise in North Texas as winter officially turns into spring, but who says we can’t stay cool just yet?
In fact, two of the three events we recommend this week are so cool they literally take place on ice.
Here are all the details.
Skate with Dolly and her friends at the Galleria Dallas (dalas)
To your ice skates and your little girls, it’s time to have fun with Dolly! In honor of Women’s History Month, Galleria Dallas is celebrating our iconic queen, Mrs. Dolly Parton herself. The country legend is releasing his 52nd album this spring — yes, I said 52nd! — and the Galleria Dallas Ice Skating Center will play hits from its five decades in the industry for skaters to dance to on Saturday. The event runs from 3-5 p.m. and it costs $12 to get on the ice – or $17 if you need to rent skates.
LuckyPalooza’s 5th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Tour at Blackfriar Pub (dalas)
Oh, you thought the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations were over? Certainly not. You’re going to want to start hydrating now, because you’ll need all the help you can get through this downtown Dallas pub crawl. Group-rate tickets start at $20 per person, and in exchange, you and the gang can enjoy exclusive drink specials, amazing local cuisine, and — the best part — no cover charge at any of the venues. attendees. Don’t worry about wasting time making these festivities look good for the gram, either. Because there will of course be a professional photographer on site to document everything for you! The fun starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Blackfriar Pub on McKinney Avenue.
Disney On Ice presents Let’s Celebrate! at the American Airlines Center (dalas)
It’s magic time! Grab your Mickey ears and get ready for nonstop fun at this event as 50 of your favorite Disney friends come to life through world-class ice skating. It’s true: Disney on ice is coming to the American Airlines Center on Saturday and Sunday! Who doesn’t want to see Goofy doing tricks, right? Well, you’ll have plenty of chances, and there will be three shows every day. Tickets, meanwhile, start at around $15 per person, depending on when you go.
