See the Katy Perry roller skate, drop at the Milwaukee Art Museum

By on October 9, 2019 0

Katy Perry was literally filming the “American Idol” auditions at the Milwaukee Art Museum on Wednesday.

Good, for the most part.

A video that made the rounds on social media on Wednesday night showed a bit filmed for the ABC singing show with Katy Perry roller-skating in the museum lobby as a contestant plays the piano – and tripping over the ‘American Idol’ sticker on the floor.

Making sure Perry doesn’t fall in vain, Judge Lionel Richie, holding a cheese-headed hat, crouches beside him in front of the “Idol” cameras, while Judge Luke Bryan skates and slides past Perry. . While on her knees, Perry sings “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” by Whitney Houston, except that she replaces the word “dance” with “skate”.

“Well I guess you’ll just have to log back into @americanidol next year to see if any of us have kept our jobs,” Perry wrote in the post with the video.

There have been several clips of Perry on skates at the museum. In one, she is saved from a near-erasure by a crew member.

And Perry and Bryan are seen skating in another clip, with Bryan wearing the cheese hat on his head.

In another clip released Wednesday, Richie does a little dance and Perry sings “Goodbye Milwaukee” while Bryan plays the piano, rings with a “Bye Bye” and flashes his pearly whites.

And the pop star naturally posed herself in a cheesy-headed hat.

Perry, Richie and Bryan – along with longtime “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest and syndicated radio host and mentor Bobby Bones – were at the museum Tuesday and Wednesday to film the third season auditions. of the singing show on ABC, coming next year.

Unlike the open auditions held in several cities this summer and early fall, the Milwaukee auditions were closed to the public. Reporting for local ABC affiliate WISN-TV (Ch. 12), Chernéy Amhara said there were several contestants at the Wisconsin museum.

Maybe one of them will be the next “American Idol”.

It wouldn’t be the first time that a show champion has been discovered at the Milwaukee Art Museum. The Season 10 auditions were filmed at the museum in 2010, where Scotty McCreery first performed before then-judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, and reached the end.
